Road Conditions Affect Cantung Mine

Vancouver, BC - North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd. (TSX.V: NTC) ("NTC" or "the Company") wishes to announce that due to significant road washouts on the Nahanni Range Road, planning is underway to temporarily reduce or even curtail operations at the CanTung Mine.

The Nahanni Range Road is the sole ground transportation link to the Mine, used for employee transport, deliveries of fuel, supplies and critical materials necessary for the Mine's operations.

According to official reports most of the Southern Yukon has been affected by heavy precipitation combined with a very fast snow pack melt. The Alaska Highway and the Robert Campbell Highway have also been seriously affected. The Company is working closely with the Yukon Government and numerous private contractors to rectify the problems as quickly as possible.

The Company is monitoring the situation and is fully committed to minimize operational reductions at the CanTung Mine and to ensure a prompt return to peak production performance.

Based on conversations with officials the Company estimates that repairs will take up to two weeks.

The Company will continue to advise and update all stakeholders as additional information becomes available.

The Company is a publicly listed Tier 1 Junior Resource Company engaged primarily in the operation, development, and acquisition of tungsten and other related mineral properties in Canada. The Company's 100% owned Cantung mine and Mactung development project make it one of the few tungsten producers with a strategic asset in the western world. Mactung is one of the world's largest known undeveloped high grade tungsten-skarn deposits.
